I see many provided good info/experiences on having home by the golf course - another is to please check on who owns and deed restrictions - many in the Phoenician area bought because of the open view/golf course only to have the property building/built townhomes.
Thanks for that. The course was 60 acres and the 15 acres or so on Northern Ave. became a car wash, IHOP, Circlek, AutoZone, and LA Fitness..that was mostly done by 2013. The course closed in 2007, so 13 years from failure to affordable townhomes..more of a warning than a success story...ironic that most of the vagrancy problems were caused by the golf course. That neighborhood has held up pretty well over the years, and is a step or two better than Christown, and way better than 19th and CB. I paid 22k in 2009 for one of the Links Apartments, that had been converted in 2005.

How is owning a home close to a green area? Does the sound of mowers wake people up weekly? How bad is it if you're a night owl?
