Hello All!

We are currently looking to move to the Chandler/Gilbert area and the only thing holding us back is finding a job for my husband.

He is a Network Engineer with strong skills in Networking and Security with many Cisco certifications and 10+ years of experience. He has been looking on Monster.com and various other sites to find a job that suits him but there aren't many, and when he does find one, he doesn't get a response.

Does anybody know whats going on with the IT industry out there?
Especially any information about GoDaddy, they seem to have a lot of openings and are posting more every day... almost too many?!?!

If you know of a company that is actively hiring please post it, any help is appreciated

Thanks

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Trying to get a transfer with my existing employer, but I'm keeping my eye out for any other opportunity that comes up. Every now and then there's a monster.com post that looks pretty good. My impression is Phoenix is a good place for tech market jobs because there's a lot of business there, but it really isn't growing right now. Annoying, considering that the city I'm trying to get out of (Seattle) is booming with tech jobs. But, we can't take the weather up here....

Most of the jobs I see are through the head hunter firms, and I'm very sketchy about those jobs. Maybe your husband should search jobs locally at individual company websites. Not everyone posts on the job search sites.

We are in a recession after all. Most jobs openings in a down market will be through attrition.
