I liked the picture. But. it's. in. Alabama.

Actually, I've been looking at desert most of my adult life and don't find it particularly interesting any more.

Coming from the desert, that photo is actually the unique one for me. Still think the desert is beautiful but it's nice to see something different for a change.

Landing in Maryland or Florida I always think about how green it is. So different from what I'm used to.

Yep. You qualify to know what winter is like ^^. As I have said earlier, often, we all need a new set of problems.

I’m in Maryland as I’m typing this it is 74 with 62% humidity and it feels fantastic. It really makes me question things
Rather cool today... only 107. I'm heading out to S.D. next week to see what's out there for the the 600k or so I can get for my paid house. I'm also looking at the outlying areas to see if they are any cheaper. Walking along the ocean front is different from strolling the shores of Tempe Lake, the largest man-made lake in Phx.

You won't be walking to the ocean from your $600k home.

Depends -- some people move there and drastically downsize. It would likely need to be no more than 1,000 SF and it may have to be next to the poo poo water in imperial beach. Maybe an apartment style condo.

The more likely possibility for that budget is far East county like in the Santee area. It's not as cool as the beach area but it's 20-25 degrees cooler than here.

I guess it's not impossible.

Nice suburb, I grew up in Santee myself. It's so crowded now though! Mission Gorge traffic is reminiscent of Indian School now
