The Valley is getting more crowded, home prices and rents are going thru the roof, and temps are over 110 constantly - why are so many people moving here? There's also the water shortage ticking time bomb. I'm looking in San Diego, because my house value is finally high enough now to move there. They have great weather, the ocean, and lots more to do! Adios!

Go to SD for a few years and you'll see why. Best of luck beating crowds, high prices and impacts of climate change in California.

SD is more crowded than Arizona, home prices are higher, and they are going to have even worse water problems. Go to the midwest like Iowa, eastern Nebraska, south west Wisconsin.

If you're concerned about home prices, crowded, rents, and water shortages, San Diego should be at or near the bottom of the list. Don't get me wrong, I love San DIego but it's just too expensive, rents are going through the roof, there's a water shortage but they do have a great climate. The ocean is too cold and the beaches are sad compared to FLorida.

I love SD. Would love to hear your take on where you're buying and for how much. Are you selling your house here to buy a house in SD? Are you getting a one for one swap?

It's not very close, especially when you factor in insurance and tax on top of the price points.

-In May 2021, San Diego home prices we're selling for a median price of $764K.
-In May 2021, Phoenix home prices we're selling for a median price of $376K

You may know that.
And I may think that.
But the OP is different.

San Diego is beautiful, I may end up in Carlsbad if not a little further North in OC. Enjoy
