I believe TSMC is larger on all accounts.

I personally consider companies with the presence of Intel, TSMC, State Farm and a few others to be fairly comparable to HQ, I realize it's regional and the ultimate CEO doesn't sit in Arizona, however you basically have a company within a company that is more or less ran here.

Good points. Also those indirect jobs are important as well. Those well paid to high paid people will be spending that money locally in things like stores, markets, restaurants, etc.

Good to know. Then they are obviously doing more than just a production fab.

Yeah, facilities of this size run like their own business. Think of a full executive suite basically running AZ fab.

Granted I don't know the first thing about the operations of Intel and I've never been on the campus other than a kids occasional baseball practice on the Intel field, I just know there's a variety of levels and even the lowest level is not bad. The new fab is supposed to be the most advanced and has made national news. With that kind of importance it would make sense to have some additional leadership positions relocate here.

Phoenix needs some more corporate HQs because names like Talking Stick Arena and Footprint Center sound pretty dumb. We have a lot of facilities in need of adequate sponsorship

haha now it all makes sense, my bad this is clearly a major inadequacy of our fair city.

On a side note, I had no idea what Footprint was nor did I know they we're HQ'd in the valley until they got the naming rights for the Suns arena. I love the the idea of reducing single use plastics and their partnership with the Suns is a template for other arenas. Now did I need the Cards stadium to be called State Farm to know they want to sell me insurance? CP3 more than handled that for me in his commercials.

Despite the Footprint company being rather unknown (mainly due to its newness), I'll gladly accept "Footprint Center" over "Talking Stick" for the Suns arena name. "Talking Stick" was one of the most awful names for a major venue! Part of the inadequacy stems from the silly titles we've allowed to be put on these buildings, as well as some of the major streets. Something along the lines of John McCain Blvd., or McFarland Avenue (honoring our past leaders) would be significantly better than Indian School Road, or Rural Road. Those street names have been severely outdated & irrelevant for a long time.
