we know a person that needs a job.
they are a single parent.
they have a felony from 2005, off probation, training in culinary(food services).

Probably depends on what the felony is for...If I were hiring that would make a difference.

Honestly, and no offense, I'd go to a 12 step group and try to build some relationships. Someone might know of a job.

I cannot imagine trying to compete in this economy with a felony in my history.

You can easily find jobs with a felony, but it won't be at a great place. Restaurants usually do not care about felonys, speaking from experience.

QFT. Restaurants, especially back of the house, are always hiring.

You may have issues getting into management or anything that's money related to start, but if you're working the line, bussing, or washing dishes, you'll have a job to start.

Also depends on the felony. Non-violent felonies like dealing, etc. are easier to look past than say, attempted murder.
