Can anyone direct me to full service gas stations in the Metro area? Seems with all the elderly there would be at least a couple options. Thanks.

1st we clarification
A full service place is called a service station, a safeway fuel island should be called a gas station as they don't provide a service except small items for sale inside.
Now over on 35th Ave and Thunderbird is a Chevron station that will provide service for you.

I know of only 2 and I know the area pretty well. One is in the AJ's supermarket area near Lincoln and Scottsdale Rds. (On lincoln, west of Scottsdale) The other one is in Sun City on Bell and Boswell (NW Corner of Bell). There are probably a few others, but I haven't seen them.

The Sinclair station at 40th St. and Camelback is full service. It's a charmingly retro station that sells gas and fixes cars rather than making its money from a convenience store.

Don't count on the elderly factor to influence much of what occurs in Phoenix, though. Despite a few high-profile retirement communities in the suburbs, Phoenix actually has a younger population than most U.S. cities.

99th and Greenway. Can't recall the name. Service cars, gas, etc. and they're very nice/pleasant to deal with.

Thanks for the replies. I will forward the information and hopefully my "elderly" Mom will find one that works for her.

Most of the "elderly" I know WHO DRIVE can pump their own gas! I mean, if they can't, I don't think they should be driving. Now, if they are spoiled and are looking only for the service factor then that is a whole other story. I hope your mom has the ability to maneuver out of danger and slam on the breaks.

WHAT A JERK! Leave the little lady alone and if she has a question that you can't answer then shut up. She might want paper, plastic or a full service checkout at the grocery store but it's not for you to judge her for it.
