Kyrene school district is one of the best in the state. To the best of my knowledge it's Awhatukee and part of Chandler. Also check out greatschools.net. good luck.

Check greatschools.net and schoolmatters.com, as well as the site posted by sugarlips. All sites will help you in your decision, but I also recommend visiting the schools in person. While a school may be in the "excelling" category, it still may not be a good fit for your child.

Yes, good advice! There is open enrollment, but schools have filled up fast and are limiting enrollment to students living inside the school boundaries only, unless a variance is granted. Visiting where you want to live will give you an idea of the school.

That's true kids all have different learning styles. Some may thrive in a structured learning enviroment while others are more successful in a self-paced and directed one. Even though a child may do well academically in an excelling school, they may not be happy.

That's what's great about this country. Between public, private, charter, home school and online school, we have many choices for our kids.

Good luck!

That's a great point. I know my kids probably wouldn't do well in North Scottsdale because we don' have that kind of money and they wouldn't fit in.
