Hello,

My wife and I will be coming out to AZ the last week in February for a wedding. I am trying to think of activities to do while we are there. This is my thinking.

Fly out Tuesday to Phoenix, rent a car and drive up to Grand Canyon. Visit Grand Canyon on Wednesday. I figure that since its winter, one day would probably be enough at GC. Not like we are going to go climbing down into canyon or anything. After that I am stuck. The wedding is down in Tuscon on Saturday so I know thats quite a bit of a drive. I was hoping there might be something interesting to do on Thursday and Friday on our drive from GC to Tuscon. Any suggestions?

Meteor crater is always fun, or petrified national forest is beautiful up North. Down near Tuscon you should check out Tombstone.

On the way to/from GC
1. Walnut Canyon ruins near Flagstaff
2. Oak Creek Sedona either coming or going - a MUST
3. Montezuma Castle = prehistoric cliff dwellings
4. Fort Verde state park - home of Gen Crook and Apache wars
5. Out of Africa wildlife park - get inches from tigers
6. Jerome/Prescott

In Tucson area,

1. Drive Catalina Highway
2. Kartchner Caverns SP (awesome) or Collosal Cave (OK)
3. Old Tucson
4. AZ Sonora Desert Museum
5. Chiricahua National Monument - land of the rock-balancing mountains - kinda far but gorgeous.
