This topic discussed on the "How do you remember Phoenix?" thread often... but still fun.

Hands down, my all-time favorite to drive by (never got to eat there) was John's Green Gables at 24th St/Thomas.
As a kid seeing the knight on the horse outside with the flaming torches was magical.

Gosh I miss the good ol days.

There were three Mag's Ham Buns in the Valley (One at University and Rural, one downtown Scottsdale, one at Shea and Scottsdale) plus on in Payson in the late 70s/early 80s. The last one on Shea closed about twenty years ago, the two further south in the mid-80s.

I visited the one at Scottsdale and Shea in the very early nineties. I don't remember the food; I do remember seeing blues guitarist Hans Olson play. That was fun!
