My wife and I are retired and we are considering moving to Arizona. We are considering buying a condo in the Plaza Residences in Scottsdale which is located across from Kierland. I was told by my realtor it's the same as our Beverly Hills.

A 1+1 condo is under 800 sq ft is selling for $199,950 and I would appreciate and comments or suggestions from anyone that is either living there or is familiar with the developement?

The realtor mentioned there has been NO decline in prices for condos sold in this development but there's actually been an increase in prices.

Our other option is to buy a REO 4br and 2ba sfr in Chandler/Gilbert area for less than $200K.

Which area would offer the potential greater upside in this depressed houing market?

Thanks in advance for any help you can share with me on this development or buying in the Chandler/Gilbert area.
