I am moving to the Phoenix area, will be working at the airport. I am a single mom with 3 children, one in elementary, one in middle school and one in high school. Can you suggest a few safe and nice areas to live in that also have decent schools?

I don't want to me much more than 30 - 45 min away from the airport if possible.

Thank you!

Tempe would be one place, for sure. Very close to airport, safe, good schools. Ahwatukee area of Phoenix, also, same thing. The western part of Chandler would work also.

Considering moving from Orange County Cali to Arizona. My family and I have never lived in any other area, so I'm trying to look for a city/area that closely resumbles the oc life as far as low crime rates, decent school district and an area where it's ok to be outside and visit local parks etc. We have a 5 year old who currently attends public school and is involved in activities offered by school district and local park and would like to find a neighborhood/community that offers the same. Of course safety and our key concern. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

South Tempe would work. Low crime, nice neighborhoods. Good school district (Kyrene, which also covers the Ahwatukee section of southeast Phoenix and a small part of north Chandler) and Tempe has an excellent parks and recreation department.
