Funny story. Right now I'm sitting on my deck because my wife went to sleep putting my son to sleep and has a fan running so she can't hear the doorbell or the knocking.........and tonight of all nights I grabbed the spare car keys without the house key on it. Murphy strikes again.

A fan running in Canada now? Wow! You Canadians are tough! I live in SE Michigan and it is 46 degrees here right now. Our furnace is on!

I carry duplicate house keys and a car key in my wallet even though I need three keys to get into my house.

Because of the years I worked the graveyard shift I got use to running a fan to block out the noise. Its funny cuz even in the winter when the lows are near freezing I still have to have the fan on otherwise I can't sleep. You should of just knocked on the window works for me.

Oh dear! I hope you've gotten back in the house by now.

I did that once when my daughter was two years old and asleep in the house. My mom was with me and suggested we knock on the window, wake her up a and tell her to go to the door and unlock it.

I was like...hmmmm, even assuming she could get the door unlocked, I don't think so.

I envisioned that the only result would be having a terrified hysterical child IN ADDITION to still being locked out.

my wife must have a fan as well - she used to pack one when we'd go on vacation - now we just take portable speakers and download fan noise onto her mp3 player..........

i was renting a room in MN and was in the park next door playing football - my roomate left for the day and locked up the house - my keys were in the house

ended up bouncing between the fence and a tree, hopping onto the room and prying the windown open to my bedroom - i'm just glad the police didn't show up........

I want to know the ending of this story. Either his wife feels really bad and gives him a really good day or pissed off and smacks him in the head....

the suspense is killing me

Well I'm happy to say that I'm at the airport waiting for our plane to phoenix. My wife did eventually wake up and hear the nonstop doorbell, open the door and find me drinking beer and eating wings(I had gotten bored and gone for a quick side trip while waiting.). All's well that ends well. We'll be in phoenix in a few hours.
