Same question as above. We're seriously considering building here.

It is quite a nice community, although a bit far out for us. We decided to build at Freeman Farms in Gilbert instead. Fulton is a great builder, and I think you will be happy at Ironwood Crossing if you don't mind the commute.

Note that Ironwood Crossing isn't actually in the Queen Creek town limits and homes actually have a San Tan Valley address, however, it is within the Queen Creek planning area for future annexation. For fire and paramedic services you currently have to subscribe to Rural/Metro, however, the Town of Queen Creek will soon be creating a fire district, where the Town of Queen Creek fire department will provide fire services for all areas within the town's planning area, including Ironwood Crossing.

FYI, which specific series and floorplan are you looking at?

The commute is within 5 miles of our current residence so no problems there.

Looking at several of the Mediterranean ranch floorplans w/oversized garage space.

Note that these specific floorplans with the 4 car garages were released less than two weeks ago, so you will be one of the first to get them. You should probably act fast before prices are raised (Fulton raises prices for every 3 homes sold within a series).

Note that oversized garage versions of the old Mediterranean series are offered as part of the Caribbean series, and are exclusive to Ironwood Crossing.

Guess I was wrong about the Queen Creek fire district; I just found out that the Queen Creek Fire District will only include unincorporated areas within the Queen Creek planning area that are in Maricopa County (such as most of the unincorporated Chandler Heights community), and will not include any of the unincorporated portions of the Queen Creek planning area that are in Pinal County (that includes Ironwood Crossing), which means you will still have to subscribe to Rural/Metro for a fee to get fire services even after the fire district is formed.

I saw that. Hopefully the annexation of the area happens in the foreseeable future.

In fact, the Town of Queen Creek was all set to annex the area when it first opened, however, Fulton Homes' 2009 bankruptcy put a stop to those plans. Now that Fulton Homes is profitable again, perhaps the Town of Queen Creek should reconsider annexing the area. In fact, Fulton Homes was the best selling builder in Arizona for the past two years, and in 2012 Ironwood Crossing was the #1 selling master-planned community in all of Arizona and #23 nationwide.

Perhaps the Ironwood Crossing HOA should introduce a referendum to determine if the residents want the community to be annexed into Queen Creek. If successful, they can submit it to the Town of Queen Creek for review.
