My wife and I are considering a move from Fresno, ca. to the Pheonix area so she can enroll in a nursing program at one of the local colleges. In are area the programs are very limited and could wait 3 years just start. I am a student also and my primary concern is finding a couple part time jobs. Is there areas to avoid or areas we should consider living. Going there in july to check things out. Thinking about Glendale , Avondale areas for school and work. Would appreciate any and all advice. Thanks

Yes, plenty of areas to avoid and plenty of areas to consider. I hope I've been of help.

Parts of north Glendale are nice, especially around the Arrowhead Ranch area. There are several nice apartment complexes on 79th ave and you could walk to Costco and other stores and restaurants.
