I spent part of my weekend in Superstition on The Apache trail (about a half hour outside of Phoenix), exploring the Goldfield Ghost Town, among other attractions. I was surprised at how few people were there given the holiday weekend. The signs of economic recession are everywhere! I hope you enjoy the pics!

Very nice! Been up there in the Fall, there were more people. It's dead a lot of places in the summer.

Here is one more image from my day at Superstition Mtn, The Apache Trail. Those incoming clouds brought a little rain and some very dramatic skies. If you look at the trunk of the tree carefully, you can see a smiling face!

Gorgeous pics!!! Thank you for sharing!
I've been telling the hubby that we should go exploring the Apache Trail with the kids- Was even kind of interested in the Twilight Dinner deal on the river boat- isn't that out there somewhere?
Ahh someday when we have money lol.
