we were preparing to leave for the evening when a branch from our tree broke off and hit our neighbors car! Huge branch blown off by the storm... OOPS! What is with this storm, it came out of nowhere! Was silent 20 minutes ago and now heavy rain here downtown!!! Those of you wishing for the monsoon to make a strong appearance, here we go. Be safe everyone and I hope for minimal damage. Computer going off, till storm passes...

I live near the Mormon Temple here in Mesa and this storm came up from nowhere; was out taking my nightly walk (dry when I started) and got blasted within 15 minutes

As an update; his car was towed to a shop a bit ago. Our home owner's policy doesn't cover his repairs and neither does HIS home owner's policy!!! If it was our car, they would cover it. However, his car insurance will pay and we are going to help him pay half his deductible. It seems like the right thing to do since it was our tree...

I don't think you're under any ethical obligation to help out, but I think it's a very nice gesture and I wish I had neighbors like you.

As much as I don't agree with you on any "heat related" topic fc80 (I hate the heat with a passion), that is a really cool thing for you to do. Agree with robert, we should all be so lucky to have a neighbor like you. Good job man!!

Well this is a great downtown neighborhood and we are all known to one another. Our neighborhood has a great association (NOT an HOA) and great history as well. It all kind of rubs off and everyone talks and keeps an eye on one another and for each others property. The neighbor is a friend as well; and a handsome guy, LOL! Not that THAT had anything to do with us helping, his wife is beautiful I should throw that in as well, LOL!
