My husband and I want to move some $ locally into a bank that is also a bank in Suprise and Peoria - so when we get there we have access. The only bank I've heard of that we have there - that might be there - if Bank Of America. Is that true? Others we have here are Peoples, BankNorth, New Alliance - do you have any of those? Thanks

I checked for you. Seems like the big national banks are BofA, Wells Fargo, and Washington Mutual.

Yes there are also WAMU's available on top of BofA, Wells Fargo, Chase Bank, and you have to remember that Surprise and Peoria is also close to goodyear, avondale, Phoenix, Glendale, so dont worry about that, thats the list of your concerns.

Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Compass, M&I, Desert Schools FCU, Deer Valley Credit Union, Washington Mutual

I really like M&I. I left Wells Fargo because of the terrible customer service in Surprise and the long lines.

Any Credit Unions or are then banned in AZ? What is M&I?

It's a bank (not credit union). I believe it was started in the east valley. Morgan and Isley is the whole name... I believe. But everyone calls it M&I bank.

It's Marshall & Ilsley, and it was started in Wisconsin. One of the better banks operating in the valley. My favorite, actually. Bank of America gets really screwy, as do Chase and Wells Fargo.

M&I is fantastic around here. One of the few that I'd actually go out of my way to use. BofA is an absolute mess.

I agree with you both, CodyW and diggitydot. Thanks for clarifying that information, Cody!
