We have the Major League Baseball package with Cox and lately the picture on the MLB channels just freezes - over and over again on all TVs in the house. We don't have the problem on any other channels, just the MLB channels 671 - 684. Cox techs have been out twice and changed out all of the connectors, etc.. but no help. Now they tell me it must be my wiring and they recommend that I replace all coax through the house. I think they're just copping out. Anyone else had a similar experience?

I occasionally have this issue on my HD channels. I reset the box and most of the time it works.

I used to have that problem on the NBA channels and any of the "up the dial" channels - freezing, pixelating, sound breaking up

when I first called them they told me I was wrong

then they told me it was my coaxial cables

then they sent a tech

then they said that it should happen and it must be specific to me because those type of things don't happen

was so nice switching to DTV

My television has been acting up this week. I have called Cox twice when resetting did not work. They had to do something from the office to fix it.

Just had to reset it again. It sounds like they may be having some issues and I hope they can get them fixed soon.

My set isn't freezing, it just doesn't come on when the tv is turned on. One time yesterday the only channel I could get was 94 and none of the other parts of the remote would work.

If you just get 94, it is because you have a digital set top box (or DVR) and 94 is the only analog-only channel. (The other analogs are really conversions to digital decoded by the box.) Usually you see this right after the box has been rebooted and is downloading data and after a minute or two it switches to 01 and you have full data. If this happens more often, or doesn't change to 01 after a minute or so, you might want to return the box to a Cox location and ask for a replacement (or call a service person but that can be a lot more hassle).

Good information. Thank you. When I call Cox it is almost impossible to get past the robot and it is a frustrating experience.
