Valleynative, Fcorrales, Objective

I did a google search but failed to find a good source that provided what the current unemployment rate is in the valley. I read it's anywhere from 8.6 percent to over 10% Do any of you know the answer to this and can back it up with a reputable source. I'm not looking for one particular answer, I just want to know what it is out of curiosity.

They just came out with new numbers recently on the front page of azcentral.com (within a week ago) and I seem to remember it being over 9% now.

That doesn't even count for the thousands who left. All I see in my part of town Is Successful Businesses going under on a daily basis, Or getting out While the getting is half decent.

The only recent thing I can find searching AZ central is the 8.9 percent for the state as a whole. It did not give a figure for Phoenix (which would be somewhat meaningless, as the Phoenix labor market actually includes all of Maricopa County and, theoretically, part of Pinal County-- it's not just "Phoenix". )

Oh, no, it is lower than 9%. I am finding the article and DES (Department of Economic Security and Labor Statistic numbers) but the Arizona rate dropped from 9.4% to 8.9% and the Phoenix rate was reported at 8.6%...

The Arizona number is from Nov. and the Phoenix number from Oct...
