Hey dudes,I'll be moving to the Phoenix,AZ area in January 2010,but I want to get a head start on some fundamental info. Here are some questions you PHX residents can help me out with.1)Who is the energy provider for the area?2)What is the largest supermarket chain in Phoenix? Here in San Antonio it's H-E-B.3)Is Cox Communications really that bad of an ISP as I have heard?I have been warned of their nightmare service.4)Is the local transportation system(Valley Metro I think you call it) reliable/dangerous?Hey thanks to all the people who have taken the time to answer my questions.PhoenixIsRad over and OUT!

1. Depends on where in Phoenix you live. I have APS (Arizona Public Service) but many others have SRP (Salt River Project). In Tucson, Tucson Electric and APS...but TE isn't in Phoenix.

2. I have Cox and have NEVER had a problem with them. I've lived in Texas and New Mexico before I moved to AZ so I actually think that Cox beats what El Paso, San Antonio, Las Cruces/Albuquerque had. CableOne just SUCKED!

3. Local transportation varies on performance. BUT the light rail, Express/Rapid Bus service, and the most used bus routes are amazing clean and very safe (even more so if you are familiar with services in other large cities)...

Hopes this helps.
