Not sure why it wasn't really publicized, but this is good for the City of Mesa, with all of these baseball teams and staff staying in Mesa for several days. Kind of odd that an athletic conference without a team in AZ would choose AZ for it's post-season venue. They are playing at Hohokam right now if you want to check out some college baseball.

The stadium is awesome (go Cubs!) and WAC selected Mesa, I heard, because it levels the playing field in terms of competition - you don't have a home-field advantage in the tournament if it's at one of the WAC cities. Can't beat the desirability of the city either what with Scottsdale and Phoenix minutes away. Keeps the traveling friends/families occupied.

I wish they would of chosen a different stadium .... i can't spend the time getting out to hohokam ..... it's bad enough the Marlins have been aligned with the solar sox in the AFL recently instead of Peoria
