Looks like you're bringing the weather with you as they say. It's gonna be coooool - in the low 60s with clouds and showers after Sunday off and on. Around here that mostly means off - so it'll be cool with lots of sunshine mixed with more clouds than usual and a shower here and there. Maybe it is going to be like your fall/spring.

That's my forecast

FYI: The computer models are suggesting upwards of a couple feet of snow in the mountains of northern AZ over the coming week - mostly Monday-Tuesday and again later in the week. Snow levels could be down around 5000 feet in one scenario. So if you plan to go to Grand Canyon or somewhere keep that in mind.

LOL, for me it's at least a hoodie/sweats by day and an pretty substantial jacket at night. Long sleeve t out in the sun during the day may work for you as 60s might feel warm to you and the sun is still very warming even in the dead of winter here. But I'd say think fleece. Just about everything is informal dress here so you can go to a restaurant looking like you just came from the gym, for example. You're gonna see the natives with wool hats, scarves, gloves and heavy overcoats!

I usually wear a sweater and bring a jacket or coat with me in this kind of weather, but I'm rather sensitive to the cold

Keep in mind if you expect to be out at night or pretty early in the morning that even though the high may be in the 60's, the low is in the 40's or low 50's. Since you're used to colder weather, I would think a hoodie would be sufficient for you, but I find it doesn't hurt to come over-prepared so you might want to pack something warmer just in case.

A hoodie or sweatshirt. T-shirts are okay during about 3 o'clock but they start dropping about 5. Supposed to be a high of 60 on Sunday, it'll be the warmest day of the week. Rain showers are expected to come through the valley starting Sunday night and continuing on to next week. This is an average December in Arizona, a lot of rain mixed with snow in the higher elevations, and cooling temps. Just don't underestimate our weather patterns here. It was about 29 degrees here in Mesa this morning(not including the wind chill) and the now it's 56. The sun sets at about 5:30 and the temps drop fast.

Just wear your undies and bring some money so you can buy something when you get here. Don't buy stuff right at the airport though because it's too expensive. You can go straight east on Sky Harbor Bldv to the Loop 202, get off at Hayden (exit 8) going south to Rio Salado Pkwy and there's a Target there. Whatever they have on the rack will be perfect. Noone will no you're not a Zonie. Hope to see you.. Greg (it's not too hot 'till I burst into flames) Rider
