What do you want from a neighborhood? Things like how important schools are, how willing you are to drive places, and if you like to go out on the town regularly are nice to know.

Jsizzle225 - I do not have children, so I don't care about schools. I want to be close to a decent nightlife and will work from my house, so communting isn't a concern. Where are some safe, clean neighborhoods I should check out? Thanks for your help!

I would suggest the Mill Ave. area of Tempe (more of a college atmosphere), downtown Phoenix or Midtown Phoenix on North Central.

If you want to be in Phoenix, the near north area around Central and Indian School is very trendy. Check out Hawthorne Condominiums, Park Central or Landmark Towers, rentals from $650 & up.

I'd come out and look around at the areas suggested, and get a feel for which seems right for you, as all the information on the internet won't give you that-- you can only get it in person. Even once you make the move, you could come and stay in one of those extended stay hotels in a couple of different areas while you choose something.
