We are planning to leave the snow behind and high taxes for Sun City area. We plan to purchase a home with 1300-1500sf. What would be an average monthly electric bill and water bill for peak and non peak season? Also could someone explain how much our vehicle registration fees would be on a 2002 dodge/dakota and 2000 camry.

The cost of your auto registration is based on the current value of the vehicle (as determined by the MVD). For those two cars it should not be too bad, less than $100 ea. You can call the AZ Motor Vehicle Dept and they will be able to give you an estimate.

As for your electric bill it will be almost impossible to estimate, especially in Sun City. The age of the home (Sun City ranges from the 1960s to the 1980s), the construction material, whether the home has been remodeled with new windows and doors, new heating & cooling, etc. Also many of the homes in SC have both evaporative coolers and refrigeration which could be a big saver.

Remember, what you spend in AC in the summer, will be offset by what you don't spend in the winter.

You can contact Arizona Public Service, but I doubt that they will be able to give you an accurate estimate without a property address for the reasons cited above.
