I am looking to relocate to the Phoenix area. I am trying to find out if any mobile home communities offer any moving assistance to bring a 2005 16 x 76 mobile from New Braunfels, Tx. I would be willing to sign a long term lease. I am 55 and a widow.

There are plenty of communities that are 55+ all over the valey, do you know which part you're looking at? Phoenix is a very large city.

I'll be 55 in four and a half years. I'd hate to be the youngest one in a group where most people are 75 or older and doddering. Just my personal taste. If I was disabled, maybe I'd think different. But I have the idea that being with younger people helps keep me young (as well as great nutrition, not smoking, and plenty of exercise to keep me from being obese).

Very valid point, Howard . . . age is more than a number!

I recommend Valle Del Oro in Apache Junction. It's one of the larger retirement communities and the population tends to be younger than some of the other retirement communities. I have an aunt and uncle who own a park model there and it's a very clean, well-kept community. Park models are fairly inexpensive ranging from $25-$40K for a pre-owned one. I'm actually going over there on Friday for a family get-together if you want pictures, I can take a few and email them.

I'm a 53 year old single man looking for a nice adult park and a park model type home. I'd like something on the west side of Phoenix. ??

I know/visit people at The Highlands at Brentwood. It's a beautiful community in Mesa that is gated, has wide streets, and is very clean and neat. They have a 9-hole golf course free for their residents, a clubhouse with a pool, spa, ceramics room with a kiln, billiards, and excercise room. They probably have other amenities I'm not aware of, too.

I know they have brand new homes and resales available. I would call and ask about bringing your own. 480-832-6260.

Most of these parks are on the east side (Mesa) But if you want west, check out Cotton Lane RV Resort on Van Buren just south of I-10. There is another one up the same street called Destiny, I think, but I don't know if that one is adult. The Cotton Lane one is and they have park models in there. Both these places are away from the bustle of Phoenix. They are located in farm areas though some new housing developments and amenities are nearby in Goodyear.

My sister has been in Cypress Estates in Mesa for years now. Although, she just sold her mobile home and is now moving to an apt. It's clean quiet, gated. It has a clubhouse, pool, activities. Give them a call over there and ask. Her name is Betty the office manager.

Default Mobile home parks over 55 in Phoenix AZ area

I'm looking to purchase a mobile home in a mobile park in the Phoenix, AZ area. I'm 58 and my wife is younger than 55. 1. Will she have a problem getting into the park? 2. Can anyone suggest a park, please, so that I can look into it. I'm looking for one that is only about 45 minutes away from the airport and has a swimming pool, and activities for the members of the park? Please any suggestions? The monthly dues would be in order also!
( don't post contact info. People will respond here.)
