for restaurants I would recommend Quiessence, Kai or T.Cooks.

Many great options for spa treatments if you are into that type of thing

it all really depends on what you enjoy

There is a nice restaurant in North Phoenix called "Different Pointe of View." It is a classy place on top of a mountain at the Pointe Hilton Resort. At night you can see the city lights all the way to South Mountain!! It is pricey though - the wine list is longer than the menu itself!

Some of the Restaurants near the Waterfront in Scottsdale are good date places. P.F. Changs always gets the crowds but it has a romantic atmosphere.

After dinner take a stroll along the Waterfront - your date will be impressed!!!!!!!!

There are a TON of good romantic restaurants around the Old Town area, you can fill your day shopping, viewing the art galleries, walking the waterfront, and then have a nice dinner at somewhere like Olive and Ivy.

Agree with Old Town, though for a gorgeous view and good food, I really recommend the restaurant Elements, at the Sanctuary Resort on Camelback Mountain.

Compass Room @ the Downtown Hyatt is good for a Romantic rendezvous and a 360-degree view of the City, but I heard the food is not so good.

Looks like a very fancy place though!!!!!!!!

I know this is a bit late, but for future reference - In addition to some of those mentioned above, a couple of our favorite restaurants that we think are romantic (with excellent food):

Quiessence
Quiessence Restaurant at The Farm at South Mountain, Phoenix

Prado
Welcome to Prado Restaurant | Scottsdale Restaurant

Agree with Synapse regarding Elements. We had friends from Boston visiting a couple of weeks ago and the four of us loved the new menu, and of course those beautiful views.

Last week my husband and I also checked out the newly renovated El Chorro. Wow, they did an amazing job, it's gorgeous. Didn't have dinner that night as we were on our way to Prado, but really enjoyed relaxing by the fire, sipping on wine, and sharing the truffle fries. I love the fact that it's a part of Arizona history too.
