It's great for the hospital - and the patients, but those folks will be walking out the door at warp speed when the economy improves.

A CPA is a solid career choice and I doubt you'll ever go hungry, but you may not make what you deserve right now (in Phoenix or any other city) . It is what it is...
Maybe you misunderstood--probably heard "certified"? You have to go through a training and then take a test to be a wound care nurse--we had 1 in home health. They do pretty good, but I doubt a nurse practitioner.

It's certainly possible I overheard incorrectly, but the statement made was, "it closes the loop, they can write their own orders". FWIW, this is a hospital with a reputation for taking good care of both patients and staff, so maybe they've chosen that path because of working conditions and/or a steady (but smaller) paycheck.

Phoenix is a good place for CPA. It has a great standard of workers especially Finance. The state has been improving since the recession started. Dont worry about the minor issues of Phoenix the wind will blow it and the firebird will rise again.
