I am looking at the following apartment complexes. I am 30 years old and moving to Scottsdale from Connecticut with my fiancee. I will be working in downtown Phoenix and understand that most of these places will be a 30 to 50 minute commute everyday. Unfortunately, I will not be able to check these apartments personally.

San Marcos
San Carlos
Aliante
Camden Legacy
Camden San Paloma
Alexan
Las Hadas
Scottsdale Meadows

I have done some research of these apartments and I am leaning towards San Marcos or San Carlos. If anyone could provide me with any additional information I would appreciate it. I have already mapped all these apartments to my office and researched rent, if they allow pets, etc. I am looking to spend no more than $950 for a two- bedroom. I am hoping to spend around $850.

We looked at some of these last year during our search.

San Marcos: overbearing office staff. The lady who gave us a tour kept pushing us to rent one of their casitas. We were constantly bothered afterwards via phone & emails.

Camden San Paloma & Scottsdale Meadows: Both of these properties are very close to one another. Convenient location. Camden San Paloma is the nicer of the two, but there are a lot of add-ons along with your monthly rent expense. Would probably be more than you are looking to spend.

Camden Legacy is in a good location very close to the 101 and lots of shopping/restaurants. Can't personally vouch for property though.

This works for me. I lived in my current place since 2005 and no problem. No noisy neighbors, very quiet complex. A great place to come home to and relax. And I'm not in Scottsdale. I recommend looking for ratings above 60% approval and with at least 25 raters. I used the web site for an apartment complex on the east coast and it was successful there too.

I have used apartmentratings during my research. Just wanted some personal help also, sometimes it seems like, competitors post their comments and reviews on that site, effecting ratings.

I used them too to move from NJ to AZ site unseen to Scottsdale Meadows 3 weeks ago. I'm very happy here.

BTW, Camden San Paloma & Scottsdale Meadows are next to one another. If you have any questions about Scottsdale Meadows, feel free to PM me. I am in a 2br for 820/mo.

Aliante is in an excellent location in the Scottsdale area. The zip code is 85259, which will probally be a great bargin on your car isurance rate, and Bert Sperlings website (sperlingsbestplaces.com) also gives the area a very good rating for safety. The apartment ratings website gives this apartment great reviews as well.

As for Las Hadas, located in the 85260 zip code in the Scottsdale area, it would be one of the best deals for someone looking the reside in a safe area for a temporary stay or permanent stay, and the prices are awsome for the area, along with what appears to be excellent customer service. The place is now renting, with the option of Varible (Month to Month rentals), which makes the stay exceptionally convienent. At any rate, I would consider either of the two apartment communities. BTW, apartment ratings also gives Las Hadas rave reviews as well.
