We are thinking of moving to AZ, but I am scared of scorpions, etc.that I hear are common in AZ. I am also worried that my indoors cats might try to play with one of those insects and get stung.

What do you have to do to keep then out of your house?

Any palmetto bugs out there? I hate them too.

Thanks.

We have been here for a little over 5 years now and have only seen a few bark scorpions and just last week after moving a pile of bricks, found two, one live and one dead. They have never made it into my house that I have discovered. They realy are not that scary a bug. I have a huge fear of spiders and have not had too many problems with those either. Get a bug service. If you get rid of crickets then the scorpions will go hunt someplace else.

You really should use the "Search" function. I think that everything that could be said about this topic has been said - two or three times.

I believe palmetto bugs are aka American Cockroaches. They are found everywhere in the US that does not have bitter-cold winters, including much of AZ.
