Gyrlonfilm, I can't speak for the other school district that you mentioned, but I have heard the same that the Peoria schools are well-reputed. Also, the Arrowhead area in Peoria is really nice - that was where my hotel was when I went to visit and I thoroughly enjoyed the area. In fact, when I was deciding on an apartment, I was torn between the one I chose in Surprise and one in the Arrowhead area in Peoria. Ultimately I chose the one in Surprise because it was only a little more expensive (even though it was brand new), and because it is a much better drive from there to Wickenburg. But, as I was saying, Arrowhead area in Peoria was really nice.

thanks nichole! that is great to know about peoria area! have you already moved? i will be moving near the end of this month. it's gonna be weird leaving one place, and starting somewhere new but i am very excited!!!

i am recommending to all my teacher friends to apply to arizona or anywhere else out west! it makes me feel good that there is a need for teachers. i also can't wait for those winter months of warmth, and like you said earlier, no more shoveling snow!!!!!!

i gotta tell you, the deciding factor for me to move to a warmer climate was in februrary when that blizzard hit us. yeah we had snow days from school (2) , but the aftermath was hell!!!! i couldn't get out of my driveway for days!

Yeah, I'm moving at the end of the month too, and I am kind of excited. Kind of nervous, too, going somewhere I really don't know anyone, but really the people there seem very friendly so I think it will be a place that is easy to meet people. I hear you with the whole not missing the snow, when the plane landed and I saw palm trees, bright sunshine, and pools everywhere, I thought, yes, this is where I need to be!
