Please read the //www.city-data.com/forum/photo...l#post10047697 to be up to date before posting.
You may post excessive photographs
in the discussion thread but it will be disqualified for here in this contest.

The theme is "In your Home State" which consist of your state or country.
However you want to share geographically and translate the beauty of your state or country.
I am considering using the "Home State" contests for the next Year-End Finalist. The reason
is because City-Data is primarily about the USA and World. So let's see how this goes.
We did extremely well in November and December Home State contests. I'm really proud of
ALL of you!

All photographs must be fresh, taken during current month in 2009. The contest will end by the end of the month.
As to stay on a monthly schedule. Last day for submitting fresh photographs will be on the last
Wednesday of the month. The poll will be opened by last Wednesday late night or last Thursday morning.
You may start posting your photographs as of right now.

Rules are simple:

Two photographs per contest and one vote per member.

Add your ©copyright signature to your photograph when sharing over the internet.

Please add your title and any information that you want to share. We do enjoy knowing
just a tad bit of information of where-abouts. You have 90 minutes to alter your post. If you need help
with the title or information, just DM me and I will fix it for you.

I would like to keep the thread neat without chattering or texting.
Use the or //www.city-data.com/forum/photo...l#post10047697 the rep point system (click on the scale on right side of post)
to compliment or comment a poster/photograph.

Any suggestions, DM me please.

DO NOT ASK YOUR CYBER FRIENDS/FAMILY TO VOTE FOR YOU.
It's cheating and unfair to others.

It's non-related to our City-Data monthly "Themes" contests.

It just for fun!

Morado de La Conquistadora

A morada is a meeting house for members of the secret brotherhood that helps the poor, the bereaved and other people in need.
Typically built during the 1600s and 1700s. It is a kind of chapel used by the Penitente brotherhood of northern New Mexico
and southern Colorado. This old morada was moved to El Rancho de las Golondrinas near Santa Fe from Abiquiu, New Mexico

Peruvian Pasos

Horse show featuring the Peruvian Pasos. The Peruvian Paso or Peruvian Horse is a breed of light pleasure saddle horse known
for its smooth ride. It is distinguished by a natural, four-beat, lateral gait called the paso llano. These are from La Estancia
Alegre, New Mexico's premier Peruvian Paso horse Breeding and Training Facility. The show was at the El Rancho de las
Golondrinas, New Mexico

My first entry taken 8/12/09
This was taken at Sleeping Bear Dunes, Michigan.
This is an amazing descend of over 400 ft. to beautiful Lake Michigan...then of course you must climb back up. And no, those are not ants at the bottom..they are people.

My second entry taken 8/12/09
This was taken from Pyramid Point Michigan
A short 1/2 mile or so hike up a hill opens up to an amazing view of Lake Michigan and the manitou Islands. the water below is about 250 ft down.
