PS--if you think it might make a difference, the first 2 were with a Nikon D40 and the one w/the girls was a simple Canon Powershot.

I'd say it's between 1 and 2, both good action shots. Probably leaning towards 2 because it so surprising to see her hanging in the air like that.

Really? The first one is a definite no for me - the framing is all wrong. I know it's difficult to compose an image with fast action but there's too much negative space off to the side, meanwhile the black dog's legs got cut off. Then there's the other dog in the background who adds nothing to the image and is just a distraction. It's not a contest winner in my opinion. The second one has good potential though.
