Here is a similarly designed Lutheran church in Walhalla, South Carolina:
Note: Walhalla was a German hermitage back when it was originally settled. Today it is a decent small town at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, and home to a large, authentic Oktoberfest.
There is another Walhalla in the Country? never ran across one before. I live a few miles from Walhalla, Michigan. Cool.

Nice shot, Skyliner. How far is Walhalla from Greenville? I don't eat it a lot but have been craving German food ever since I moved to this area! I'd love to go to an authentic Oktoberfest.

There is a new truly authentic German restaurant in Greenville on Pelham Road. Here is a link to a short video about the Walhalla Oktoberfest. Walhalla is less than fifty miles from Greenville. You can either travel out via S.C. 183 (recommended for scenery) or U.S. 123 (recommended for shorter commute).

Thanks, Skyliner! Okay, so where's the new German place on Pelham Road? Either the name or which part of Pelham would be helpful. Is it closer to downtown, Haywood or the I-85/Pelham exit?
