I was hoping we would get some good rain this year. When the rains hit, the mushrooms pop up all over. Especially nice are Amanita muscaria, but I have seen few this year. I keep checking under the pines, but without abundant rain, it is not going to happen yet. I selected a few to begin with from my album and will try to find one of the muscaria.

Now that the rains have hit us, ending what was one of our driest Decembers in over 100 years, we are finally starting to get mushrooms. With today and tomorrow forecast for heavy rain, there will soon be many more mushrooms popping up.
