I go to the University of Tennessee Knoxville Gardens but don't have anything to compare to it so I can rate it.
I went in April and there were a variety of tulips. I went in May and there were a lot of roses. Last August I saw a lot of sunflowers. There are many different flowers but there is usually a dominating one depending what time of year you go. I wish they had a butterfly garden.
Two stand out in my mind. Fredrik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI. Both a botanical garden and a sculpture park. Beautifully done. We always get a family membership there every year and even the older kids enjoy going down and visiting it.
The other is the New Brunswick Botanical garden in Saint-Jacques, New Brunswick Canada. That one took me by surprise actually. I lived about an hours drive from it for 15 years, but never knew it existed until my Mother-in-Law came up for a visit and wanted to take the kids over to see it (she had looked it up online before coming up.) I am still kicking myself for having it close by and missing it all those years.
I try to visit Dallas Arboretum at least once a year (usually, Spring Blooms). And frequent Ft Worth Botanical Gardens (occasionally a stroll through Japanese Gardens inside it).
