After months of research I've finally decided to get the Nikon D40. Thank you so much for everyone who helped me make this decision... I really appreciate it.

I've had fun and taken some good pictures with my old P&S, but it's definitely time for something new

Yeah, I agree!

I tossed the P&S and have started over the past few months trying to learn with my Canon. It'll be interesting to see how you do with the Nikon.
