Bible Belt...
The only pretty stained glass around here I see in churches. Sadly most are closed, so I am trying to catch them on Sundays.

I take it the secret to getting the color is to take the pictures inside? I just went to a local church on Sat and all the windows were dark from the outside because there was no light. I don't think the sun being out would have helped much either.

It's well worth visiting plus it's free admission (donations accepted).

This is the Royal British Legion window in St James' Church, Arnside, Westmorland.

Yes, you can only get them nice from inside. A bright, sunny day is the best.
Check when they have a mass, and take the pix before or after. Otherwise most churches are closed.

This one was taken from outside late in the evening, and the church was lit well inside, so I got a good contrast.
