Thanks for all the great advice. Printing the 12x12 pages was one of the main things I wasn't clear on. I've got a couple of books coming for her and I'm going to try and teach her the little I know about PS Elements. I think she'd enjo this and she really needs the computer experience.
BuggaBoo2, great job on the collages posted.
Do you generally print them yourself or take them to a print shop?
I haven't done much digital scrapbooking. I do scrapbook and for quite a few years owned an online monthly scrapbook kit company and a scrapbook store in my town. There are alot of digital freebies out there, I just need to sit down and try it.
Alpha: I print it from my hp all-in-one & the print quality of photos is amazing. I use hp premium photo papers & now the ink is photo quality and meant for archival, so supposedly they will last as long as a photo from a lab. I haven't done 12x12 format yet, but if I do I'd take those to a developer. I've looked into the new larger printers, but I can't justify the cost of the ink for a hobby.
Hope your wife enjoys the books, & if it's something of an interest to her it can be quite addicting. You might look back & think what have I started? The nice part is in the end it's a family heirloom.
Inthesierras: Thanks for the link. I'll save it & look through it later. Did you enjoy running a scrapbook store? I think it would be a lot of work, but if it's something you enjoy then it could be rewarding...guess it all depends on your clientele though.

Buggaboo, it was alot of work. I really enjoyed it though. It was fun meeting a lot of great people. But after I sold my share of the business and went back to being a stay at home mom, it was a huge relief. I was able to scrapbook for me again, had more time for family things, and had more time to clean my house, lol. Sometimes I miss it. But until my kids are much older, I won't tackle something like that again, lol.

Wow, you're a stay at home mom AND have time to clean the house? LOL When my little guys are older I want to find a fun job. I always enjoyed scrapbooking & photography, so I'm hoping to someday find a way to make money & be creative. Thanks!
I love digital scrapbooking because no matter how many scrapbook supplies I buy because I love cool things, I never use them. But if my pics are on the computer and I can play around without all the actual cut and paste, it's a different story. There are a ton of sites were you can download freebies to use in your photo programs. Here are a few scrap links. (I think that's okay on here, right?)
