Okay, so this is my first time posting in the photography forum, so please try to be nice.

These are pics taken a couple months ago while hiking around Chiricahua Nat'l Monument in SE Arizona

There is also Lake Louise Village very near the lake....Tiny but you can get most anything you need, and the views are spectacular.

Mdtoaz, Great shots...No wonder they call it a monument....Looks like a huge grave yard for trolls....What kind of tree in the last picture?

Thanks. Sorry... I have no idea what kind of tree that is. They were all over the place. The reddish bark twisted with the grey and looked really neat. The whole area is beautiful. We hiked a 6 mile loop that started at the top and went into a gorge. At the bottom, it was cool and reminded me of forests I used to see back east - lots of ferns. The rock formations were enormous... the pictures don't really do it justice. Native Americans called the place "Land of the Standing Rocks" - for good reasons!

These are just a couple I took in Rocky Mountain National Park a few years ago. The first is of the Never Summer Range and the second showcases Longs Peak prominently at the left-center portion of the photo..
