Depth of Field, your pic was shot at f/2.8 giving it a nice blurred background while at the same time capturing a sharp image of the squirrel. If you would have used a F stop of say f/8 the background would have been sharper.

thanks! im sure it was by accident,LOL .my camera does have some adjustments but i dont play with them much.its not fancy one at all.
