HELP. I’m REALLY a beginner with photography. I have a Kodak Z710 and I just purchased a Sunpak 383 Super to use as an off-camera flash. My camera does not have the flash sync socket required, can I still get this off-camera flash to work with my camera? Or do I need to buy a radio or optical slave attachment (and what does it do?) I’m slowly learning how to become a little more intelligent with my camera but I guess I need all the help I can get! Thanks in advance.

Your only option is to use an optical slave. Something like a Wein Peanut. You'll have to use your on camera flash to trigger the Peanut.

I've found something on ebay; a slave trigger for hot shoe flash/wireless. I think I might try it out since it isn't very expensive. Let me know what you think if you have the time to look it up. Thanks again.

I've never seen that one before and it's not showing a description so I can't really comment on it one way or the other.
