MinuteMan ... thank you for sharing these amazing pictures. I just love old barns, houses, churches, ... architecture in general. It's also such a sad site to see such history fallen apart, crumbling into Earth, only to be forgotten as days go by.

Thanks MinuteMan. I was drooling when you got the two tractors in those settings. Great. Makes me want to go on an old barn hunt this week. Your barn pics are some of the best I've seen.

This coal mine was established to feed the locomotives of the newly built railway across the Rocky mountains to the Pacific.



The old Bankhead site.



The lamphouse where miners got a replenished lamp before their shift.



The mine train was powered by compressed air and hauled both men and coal.



The men sat on these benches facing the rear of the train.
