My dad bought this painting by Red Skelton back in the late 70's. Someone in the art gallery at a big casino asked him if he would like to get it signed by Red himself in his dressing room and of course my dad said YES.
One day several years later, my dad and I were standing outside a casino in Sparks, Nevada and we bumped into Red Skelton and another guy on the streets. Dad talked for a while and I just listened. Both men were very friendly and seemd to get a kick out of my father. We didn't know who the other gentleman was at the time cause my dad was as giddy as a schoolchild to meet his hero again. Later at home, my dad yelled at me and said, "Now I know who that was, it was Emmett Kelly".... the famous clown who also was a painter I think.
