On a Saturday morning, while doing yard work, I noticed smoke uphill from us. I grabbed my camera and bicycle and rode up the road to see what caught fire. It was a control burn of a dilapidated over 100 year old house to make way for an 84 home subdivision. I stayed on till the last of the front porch was in flames and when a breeze blew through, it knocked most of a burning window and door frame down. This remained for about half a minute then fell down. I submitted it to the local weekly paper and it was put on the front cover with the title " Ashes to Ashes....."
