Hi! I'll be moving to Pittsburgh next month, and would really appreciate any recommendations for a reliable, honest mechanic. Especially since I'm a younger female who knows very little about cars.

Thanks in advance!

Default Rec's for a good mechanic?

Hi! Anyone care to recommend a good, honest mechanic in Pittsburgh?

Thank you!

There are plenty, but I could be recommending someone who lives on the other side of town. Where do you live?

You posted two threads about this. In the other one, I asked where you live. It would also help to know what type of car you drive.

Moving in a month and your biggest concern is finding a mechanic?
Maybe you should replace that piece of crap before the big move.

Angry Information

I'm pretty sure that the poster is going to be moving to an apartment near Murray Ave. in southern Squirrel Hill, right on the border with Greenfield.

I'm also pretty sure that she has plenty of things to worry about before moving, but that finding a good mechanic is an important one of those.

I'm also pretty sure that the car she has is, while older, not a piece of crap, as you so delicately put it.

Every car needs repairs from time to time, and it's more than understandable that the poster doesn't want to get ripped off by shady mechanics.

I do have a good mechanic. I'm not certain how legit it is to post his name, but if you'd like it, send me a PM.

And to the best of my knowledge, they service foreign and domestic cars.

Thanks, ontheroad. PM is sent.

Anyone else care to actually help?

I will be living in Squirrel Hill, and my car is a Toyota.
