Hey everyone.

I posted a similar thread last year around this time and got some great responses. However, this year I'm looking for some bigger and better (and obviously safer) bridge/cliff jumping spots around the Pittsburgh area. If you are aware of any possible locations I'd love to hear all of your suggestions.

This isn't me in the video, but other old bridge supports and things are what I am used to.

Thank you so much for any help!

Never hurts I guess, but he's still here after a round of this last year so I don't think that's the issue.

You can't JUMP from it, but at McConnell's Mill State Park you can repel off of a bridge aptly named "Breakneck Bridge".

Thanks but no thanks. I try to stay away from anything named "Break neck."

Think about it though--if somebody posted, "Hi. I'm new to the area and thinking about ending it all. Where are some good places to jump from?", we here on the Pittsburgh Forum are helpful enough that they'd immediately get half a dozen good suggestions.

(That is, before thread creep turned it into a discussion of whether jumping was better than intentional drug overdose, self asphixiation, stopping on an on-ramp, or taking a midnight stroll down Frankstown Avenue with a hundred dollar bill sticking out of your pocket...)

The place to go is "The New River Gourge" - near Beckley Wv

Bridge Day 2010 - BASE Jumping Registration and Event Information

They tried to outlaw it last year, only to have a public outcry large enough to extend it for one more year.

If you got the guts - come on down!
