The Newbury site is actually an abandoned brownfield; I believe it was once a chemical plant.

Living in South Fayette for the past 5 years I have seen enormous growth in the residential market. However, there is not much commercial development. Just look at the school addition which is great. But I am sure all these people moving into the community will not want to go too far for groceries etc.

It’s probably taking so long because it’s the former site of Koppers... a former worker told me they used to do all kinds of shady stuff like dump chemicals and waste and put dirt over it... hence Kopper’s field. I live right across 79 up on the hill in Bridgeville and it snowed really good like it used to in the early-Mid 90’s and the plant turned all the snow green. I can see why they’re running into some issues

Well, it looks like TopGolf is hiring for the Newbury Market location and they're set to open in late July. Hopefully they finally have all of those chemicals cleaned up and it's safe.
