I might be moving to Port Vue and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on that area? Thanks.

Extremely affordable, but in decline.

Do you have kids? Port Vue kids go to South Allegheny. The school's academics are ok, but there is a drug problem there.

Port Vue is another declining Mon Valley town. I'm sure there are better options nearby. Why Port Vue, exactly?

Port Vue is a nice little town. It's one of McKeesport's better-off neighborhoods.

Port Vue finds ways to provide services and activities for the youth. The older residents made this town a great place to grow up, but some who are moving there have no idea about the great history and reputation of our little town on top of the hill.
As for "drug problems", the statistics show there are less incidents than other towns in the area (of comparative population). Help keep Port Vue drug free... teach your children BY EXAMPLE. Keep your yard and property in good shape, get the kids involved in health activities OUTSIDE!
