Well you guys did it, I've been wanting to try making some bread on my Kamado Grill (same thing as an Green Egg) to see how it would come out. I really want some good bread so going to see how it turns out.

Use organic flour. Tastes much better. I use King Arthur brand which is available at most supermarkets. Their website has great bread recipes too. They also have roll recipes.

I don't know what a Kamado grill is, but an oven is probably easier.

Yes I am a big King Arthur fan, have a lot of their toys and always try to use their flours for anything I bake. I've followed many of their recipes. I'm doing a rosemary garlic rustic loaf, just waiting on it to rise. Kamado Grill, most people are familar with The Big Green Egg which is a Kamado grill. Great for slow smoking BBQ, I just have another brand that wasnt overpriced. Nice thing is you can get a nice high temp and a smokey taste. Its like when get the brick fired oven bread. We shall see how it turns out, never did one so just hoping for something edible on my 1st try. Will let you know.

Ah, bread is soso. I do like it on the Kamado. It was super crispy crust but the inside was more dense than I'd like. Recipe issue but fresh hot bread is never a bad thing. I really need to make a starter and keep it going. My dad made great bread but sadly no longer around to remind me what I was missing.

Thanks, I have about 4 bread books but it's been a few years so I forgot which I really liked. It was nice just bland and I wanted nice big pockets of air. It was about as airy as standard bread but good with Jam. Forgot how much I like making bread, work has been busy for a couple years but slowing down so trying to get back to it.
